Tracsis are an end-to-end transportation solutions Group and are currently looking to add to their innovative and dynamic team a Software Delivery Consultant. We are looking for a bright, self-motivated individual to join our close knit team in Wetherby with a real opportunity to be at the forefront of business change, interacting with various Divisional Companies and Senior Management. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast growing technology company and be able to make a difference and help steer current and long term software projects within the business. We are looking for someone who has strong skills in the technologies listed below but who wishes to grab the opportunity to branch into other technologies and widen their own learning and development.

The individual must demonstrate acute problem-solving abilities, and show a keen desire to deliver large scale projects to strict deadlines. It is essential that the position holder can oversee multiple concurrent projects from initiation through to delivery, and demonstrate a flexible approach to changing priorities.

The post-holder will initially be responsible for the execution and delivery of a bespoke project management software that is partially developed at present, adoption of Office365, and a transitional move to cloud based servers.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • 1. Project Execution – Assist in developing specific requirements of the software/technology and ensure all stakeholder and client requirements are considered and met. Ensure effective communication is maintained
  • 2. Project Delivery – Ensure timely delivery of projects to desired specifications. Engage with division wide teams to ensure the successful and timely roll-out of internal software solutions.
  • 3. Identifying New Software/Technology – Research, identify and assist in the procurement of new software and technologies in alignment with the business needs and wider strategy.
  • 4. Resource Management – Manage and prioritise available resource including third party providers, as well as Tracsis' internal software development teams to deliver projects successfully.

Essential Skills

  • Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant subject and have relevant experience.
  • Possess excellent time management and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate effective prioritisation skills and have a proven track record of delivering multiple software roll-outs as well as an understanding of development processes and scripting.
  • Possess proven written and verbal communication skills with an ability to tailor communication approach to both senior and junior colleagues.
  • Desire to deliver change and improvement through software and technology innovation.
  • Be highly competent using Microsoft software packages with an exceptional knowledge of Excel.

Desirable Skills

  • Programming experience with languages such as JAVA, C and Python is strongly desirable.
