The Position:

Following training, the successful candidate will be responsible to the Senior Project Manager for the timely delivery of quotations, preparation of projects, permit applications and project related tasks. The candidate is expected to undertake work related to a variety of surveys and associated analysis based on criteria provided by the client. The role will also involve some coordination of bid and tender, scheduling, analysis, and resourcing departments.

The Role:

  • Receipt of enquiry: Review specification provided by the client or tender notification and confirm receipt and a rough estimate of delivery date ofquotation.

  • Preparation: Draw up a costing submission for the client, taking into consideration all client requests, company quoting guidelines and pricing strategies.

  • Plan the Project: Understand the scope of the project and formulate a plan for the sequence of activities needed to successfully complete the project. Including determining the resources required, reviewing the project schedule with the Project Manager revising if required, preparing site paperwork, and briefing relevant stakeholders.

  • Implement the project: Execute the project according to the original plan, monitor the progress of the project, adjusting as necessary and deal with issue that arise on site, establish a communication schedule of various staff across theorganisation and report back on the progress of the project regularly.

  • Control, co-ordinate and deliver the project: Communicate with the end client asspecified in the original brief as to the progress of the project, monitor all budgeted costs to ensure the project does not excel original budgets and liaise with relevant departments with a stake in the project: Data Analysis, Senior Management, Finance and Human Resource.

  • Evaluate the project: Ensure all project deliverables are on time, within budgetand at the required level of quality. In addition, ensure that the outcomes of the project are met and liaise with the end client where necessary. Ensure that all criteria above are met so that the project can be invoiced.

  • Oversee the project to the required level, identifying all survey requirements at each of the above key stages and ensuring all activities set by the Senior Project Manager are complete and escalating back as required.

A desire to learn new skills, be an effective communicator with people at all levels andhave a keen eye for detail.

In addition to this we would also like to see:

  • Have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • Possess excellent time management and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and organisation.

  • Be flexible and willing to undertake a variety of tasks and responsibilities.

  • Be meticulous in all planning and checking processes, delivering good quality output.

  • Possess proven written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Salary: 30,000-33,000 (pro rata) per annum dependent on experience
