Tracsis are set to deliver services to TfGM

28 April 21

Tracsis appointed to Lot 5 of the Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) Transport Professional Services Framework

Tracsis, via partnership with lead contractor SYSTRA, will deliver services to TfGM via the Transport Professional Services Framework, helping support TfGM’s ambitious plans to transform transport throughout the Greater Manchester city region.

TfGM is the transport delivery arm for the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), overseeing transport and travel across the region, the largest regional economy outside London and home to a diverse population of over 2.8 million people.

Embodied in the Greater Manchester Transport Strategy 2040, TfGM’s vision is to transform transport across the region, with the goal of 50 per cent of all journeys in Greater Manchester being made by public transport, cycling, or walking by 2040.

This appointment will enable Tracsis to bid for services commissioned via Strategic Lot 5 (Transport Surveys and Data Collection), and associated sub-Lots 5I and 5J. The Tracsis team is a long- standing provider of these services to TfGM and will bring expertise in delivery of both manual and electronic- method surveys, alongside skills in data analytics and enhanced reporting options.

Tracsis’ key partners and suppliers include Vivacity Labs, whose state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence technology gathers detailed and anonymous data on transport modes, flow and patterns, and Citi Logik, specialists in the use and application of Mobile Phone Network Data for deriving insights into transport. The combined expertise of Tracsis and partners will ensure TfGM has a robust evidence base of current and future travel behaviour to inform its investment and transport strategy.
